The "Pauses" (Or poses) are inspired by dance, the body, space and time. I used my body to make an imprint of the moment I pose-pause in front of the canvas, that is also a mirror. Movement becomes static, the water evaporates on the semitransparent surface leaving a suggestion of the fleeting image of the body. The transparency leaves the trace vulnerable to the penetrating gaze, shifting between self reflection and self evanescence, opening the world-surface back to sight.
